Untimely - Spring time would have made a better metaphor

I've not been very inspired lately. I think my muse got lost for a little bit, probably under a low level blanket of stress. Finding somewhere to live in London, worrying about money, packing, resigning from my jobs and saying good bye to friends has some what dampened my creativity.

I'm still in the middle of a lot of this, but the end is in sight. I'm on the homeward slope now. A week on Sunday I am moving to London, the flat is sorted, my place on my Masters is confirmed and I'm really excited about all the reading I've been given for it. My drive returned last week. Maybe it's the approach of autumn (my favourite season clothing wise), maybe the prospect of a new life.

It's pretty inconvenient timing. At home, instead of packing and cleaning I want to be sewing. At work, instead of trying to finish off my work load and make it ready to handover, I spend my day doodling and dreaming design ideas. But it's really nice to have my inspiration back, to be excited about things again, it was quite lonely without it!

I know what you mean :(. I haven't done anything creative since we moved a couple of months ago! I think the problem is that there isn't really anywhere to put my sewing machine/etc, other than the kitchen table which is covered in food stuff (and, usually, food). Going to buy myself a cheap Ikea table soon hopefully...

Good luck with the move though! If you're packing a week before then you're more organised than we were, so I'm sure it will be fine :).
